Alaskan Communities

Salmon is Wild Caught Throughout Alaska

~headers/communities_header.jpg

Wildcatch™ salmon is wild caught throughout Alaska, primarily by the fishers who live and fish in western Alaska.

The tundra landscape of these Bering Sea villages is home to abundant stocks of all five species of wild Pacific salmon living in some of the cleanest marine, freshwater, and upland habitats in the world.

Wildcatch™ supports the idea of identifying and featuring the fishing area and community from which the salmon are harvested. Providing information about these communities directly onto most of our packaging helps our customers appreciate the origin, quality and purity of their food source.

For over 1,000 years the Yupik residents of the remote Kuskokwim region in southwest Alaska have been fishing the icy waters off the Bering Sea. The wild salmon have sustained their families for generations.

Wildcatch™ partners with the villages of Kuskokwim Bay and other coastal villages throughout western Alaska, supporting their communities and sharing with you the heritage of wild Alaska salmon.
